About the Role:
As a Director, Strategic Clinical Vendor Alliance Management in Clinical Trial Supply Management (CTSM), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of BioNTech’s global Phase I-III clinical trials. This position oversees third-party vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance, and operational excellence. Acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external vendors, you will contribute directly to our mission of advancing medicine by enabling efficient clinical trial supply management. Your Contribution:
- Lead the development of CTSM vendor strategies and establish strategic partnerships to enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create vendor infrastructures that ensure seamless clinical trial execution
- Oversee vendor governance structures and lead performance optimization initiatives through structured meetings and KPI monitoring
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive negotiations with vendors to align with budgetary goals
- Mentor team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and strategic efficiency across departments
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while driving process improvements within CTSM
A Good Match:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Clinical Operations, and strategic sourcing preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, clinical research organization or similar equivalent industry setting.
- Proven expertise in global clinical supply chain management and logistics up to Phase III trials
- Strong negotiation skills paired with experience in vendor governance and budget management
- In-depth knowledge of GxP principles, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements
- Exceptional project management skills with a track record of implementing cost-efficiency initiatives
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Fluent in English with proficiency in standard office software
The Expected Pay Range is 168,100/year to 268,700/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
