An important member of German Medical Affairs Infectious Disease Department, providing scientific input expertise for medico-marketing activities and the field-based teams (where appropriate). Furthermore, building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders as well as help manage medical operational activities by BioNTech in relation to COVID-19 and BNT162b2.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter data expert for BNT162b2 in Germany.
- Engage with key opinion leaders and professional groups, including presentations to HCPs.
- Participate in key scientific conferences.
- Develop internal/external medical education activities.
- Manage local sponsorships and support organization of scientific events.
- Coordinate training for the team, in close alignment with Global Medical Excellence.
- Organize internal medical review processes ensuring compliance with the German Codes/Laws.
- Manage and document contracts with HCPs and vendors in close alignment with purchasing, legal and compliance.
- Compile and control project budgets and ensure the achievement of defined project goals in agreed timelines including risk mitigation plans.
- Working closely with the Director Medical Affairs, the Medical Advisor and the German Medical team to provide input and support in developing the German Medical Strategy and Plan.
- Initiate and support digital medical projects, including further development of existing tools.
- Support the Director Medical Affairs and the Associate Medical Director in carrying out the day to day operational activities of the Medical Affairs team.
What you have offer
- Scientific Degree (PhD, Pharmacist, MD) in a relevant field such as Biomedicine or Immunology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or consulting industry, ideally in medical affairs areas.
- Good ability to understand, process, communicate and present scientific information to a high standard.
- Strong medical, analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt priorities according to business and strategic needs.
- Experience in working with project management tools as well as budget oversight.
- Excellence in communicating effectively in both German and English.
- A team player with a self-motivated and solution-oriented personality.
- Very strong cross functional collaboration and alignment skills.
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
- Passion for innovation and a “can do” attitude.
