Associate Director* Global Commercial Analysis & Insights 

 

The Global Commercial Analysis and Insights group is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the team in our endeavor to support successful new product launches for the benefit of patients. You will join a striving-to-be-best-in-industry and growing commercial insights team that is supporting multiple upcoming oncology and infectious disease launches in the next few years. We support the rest of the organization with our insights so that we can reach as many patients in need as possible. Our team is looking for a highly motivated individual with a ‘let’s do it!’ attitude who will lead commercial potential assessments of pipeline pharmaceutical lead compounds, with a strong focus on oncology.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

 

  • Forecast patient numbers and revenue across multiple oncology indications, generate key commercial insights, and support global primary market research projects
  • Build and maintain detailed epidemiology-based forecasts using relevant market-based assumptions and inputs from various internal functions
  • Utilize external epidemiology and market-related databases to generate relevant insights
  • Communicate forecast rationales, results, and insights generated from market research to senior management to drive internal decision making

 

What you have to offer.

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of consulting experience in the pharma industry, preferably with a science (M.Sc) background. An MBA will be advantageous
  • Experience in oncology is highly desirable
  • In-depth experience in building detailed epidemiology-based product revenue forecast models from scratch, combined with outstanding skills in communicating the story that the forecast tells
  • Experience in generating forecast assumptions based on multiple sources (market research, analogues, syndicated data) and extrapolation/trend smoothing based on historic data
  • Excellent knowledge of external pharmaceutical databases to leverage suitable data points for forecasting, with a very good understanding of epidemiology patient flow modeling in oncology
  • Market research experience with physicians or patients is desirable
  • Strong ability to work with numbers, see the big picture, and influence others to implement insights
  • Great attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple different indications and projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding MS Excel/PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communicator in English, German considered a plus
  • Proactive and curious mindset, open to feedback, and committed to excellence and professional growth. A good sense of humor will be highly appreciated!
