Position Summary:
Responsible for building disease area strategy, leading a team of marketeers to ensure successful launch preparation and portfolio maximization.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive launch planning strategies to support the launch and growth of oncology pipeline
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, clinical development, sales. medical, regulatory affairs and Global teams to ensure all activities are and aligned with company standards and objectives
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation and management of HCP and patient-focused content across various channels, including digital, print, and social media, ensuring messaging is clear, empathetic, and informative.
- Media Planning & Management: Manage agency partners to develop and execute a comprehensive media strategy that aligns with overall brand objectives
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to enhance the reach and impact of patient marketing efforts.
- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, patient feedback, and the competitive landscape to continuously refine and improve marketing strategies.
- Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize the impact of marketing initiatives.
- Outreach: Create and deliver materials and programs that inform patients and healthcare providers
What you have to offer:
- Extensive experience leading marketing teams, ideally within biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on oncology products, specifically targeted therapies
- In-depth understanding of the oncology market, including competitive landscape, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends
- Proven track record of overseeing successful product launches in the oncology space, including development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to drive market adaption and revenue growth
- Strong ability to collaborate cross functional teams, including R&D, clinical development, sales and regulatory affairs, to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives and timelines
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement long term marketing strategies that capitalize on market opportunities and differentiate BioNTech’s offerings in the competitive landscape
- Expertise in developing differentiated positioning strategies for BioNTech portfolio leveraging market insights, customer feedback and competitive analysis
- Pharmaceutical marketing experience and/or multi-channel, digital media, social media experience, inclusive of CRM, display, social media, email, website, and digital measurement plans.
- Strong patient orientation with organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Mix of experiences preferred – large pharma, biotech, agency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in US oncology (preferably solid tumors) / specialty marketing.
- Previous US launch experience within oncology required.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct management experience
- Demonstrated ability to derive insights/analytics leading to the development of innovative marketing strategies within disease areas.
- Strong leadership, with the ability to work well cross-functionally and influence across an organization at all levels.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction
- Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.
- Ability and willingness to travel (Approx. 20%)
- Onsite/ Hybrid in office requirements (Hybrid 3-days per week)
Expected Pay Range: $221,700 - $354,700/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). *Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
