Executive Director, Global Forecasting

Position Summary

The Executive Director, Global Forecasting will establish BioNTech’s Global commercial forecasting capabilities for its multiple upcoming global launches in Oncology.  This person will build and lead the best-in-class high-performing team with great visibility to the senior leadership. It is a player-coach role where this leader will personally drive forecasts, while leading their team members.

 

What you have to offer:

  • Lead the team that will build Global commercial forecasts for the company
  • “Own” commercial forecasts for late-stage, early-stage and BD&L assets, as well as for long-range planning, being fully responsible for driving all cross-functional assumptions
  • Create and present business cases if needed
  • Develop forecasting best practices, operating model, communication model, strategy and roadmap
  • Coach the team to work and deliver in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Establish as Subject Matter Expert in all Oncology and Infectious Diseases markets that the company focuses on
  • Work closely with Global marketing, Global market access, US forecasting, clinical and supply chain teams
  • Communicate business implications of forecasts effectively to senior leadership
  • Recommend market research and secondary data analytics needed to better inform forecasts created by the team
  • Drive optimization of company pipeline portfolio with the use of forecasts

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of commercial forecasting, valuation and related experience
  • 5+ years of Global Oncology commercial forecasting experience
  • Record of creating forecasting best practices and operating model in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating and running their own forecasting models
  • Deep expertise in multiple oncology markets
  • Experience working closely with commercial teams
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
