Position Summary:
The Director, Integrated Insights, Market Research & Forecasting is responsible for leading the development and successful execution of market research by selecting appropriate methodologies and lead the development and execution of commercial forecasting for the US Oncology business across its portfolio. The individual will be responsible for identifying and addressing key business questions and providing insights to support decision-making. Additionally, this role will oversee the development of forecasting models and provide guidance on forecasting best practices. This individual will work cross-functionally with various teams, including Market Access, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment of forecasting assumptions and methodologies as well as ensure that insights are integrated into strategic planning and decision-making. This is a team leadership role where the incumbent will be responsible for managing a team overseeing the development of market research plans, forecast models, budgets and implementation timelines
What you have to offer:
- Lead the development and execution of market research plans and forecast models for the US Oncology portfolio.
- Effectively partner and collaborate the US commercial cross functional to respond to critical business questions and ensure alignment of input assumptions across forecasts and synchronize outputs to various stakeholders.
- Able to effectively work and lead teams in development of various market research plans and approaches across product life cycle (inline and pre-launch)
- Comfortable and experience in various market research approaches and techniques (qual/quant)
- Ability to develop forecast models ground up or be comfortable working “out of box” solutions and forecasting software solutions/add-ons
- Ability to develop market moving insights based on a thorough understanding of market dynamics, secondary data and rigorous research driven insights
- Able to identify good sources of epidemiology sources or work with market research counterparts to ensure alignment of forecast model structure and research design
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and ensure effective communication of high-quality results, deliverables and insights.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the US Oncology market, including key competitors, market dynamics, and customer needs
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of forecasting models and adjust as needed to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the teams, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and resources to meet their objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in commercial forecasting and incorporate them into the forecasting and market research strategy as appropriate.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to support business objectives, both, pre-launch and post launch.
- Analyze and synthesize market research data to provide insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Working Knowledge and understanding of secondary data and its nuances as pertinent to the Oncology market
- Ensure that market research insights are integrated into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure that market research projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Engage senior leadership effectively with strategic conversations and present research insights effectively in a format that helps stakeholders make informed decisions that impact patient care in a meaningful way.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Economics, or Life Sciences.
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in commercial forecasting and market research within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Strong analytical, data modelling and quantitative skills are necessary, as well as proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.

The ability to lead and motivate a team, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential.

The ability to think strategically and provide insights to support decision-making is critical.

A strong understanding of the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including market trends and regulatory requirements, is necessary.

The ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities is important, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The forecasting process will involve running multiple scenarios and revising assumptions. The individual should be organized and maintain integrity of various versions of the model and strong documentation of assumptions/rationale used for inputs into the model.

Effective story telling / presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in a related field is preferred
- Experience in oncology forecasting and market research is preferred.
- Experience with forecasting software, market research software and statistical modeling.
