Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader to join our Global Product Strategy team as the Director of Operations. This role is critical in supporting and driving the execution of key commercial deliverables for our clinical-stage oncology portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management/coordination, cross functional execution, strategic planning, global and US product launch experience, and executive-level communication.
This position offers the opportunity to operate cross-functionally and globally, working closely with senior leadership, commercial, medical, finance, R&D, and regional markets to ensure alignment and execution across major initiatives. The Director will play a central role in shaping and advancing commercial strategy from early development through launch readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Strategic Execution
- Lead project management of strategic initiatives, including global asset strategies, market assessments, forecasts, and business case development.
- Drive development and delivery of cross-functional strategic deliverables and timelines for global planning.
- Executive Communications
- Prepare executive-level communications including presentations, dashboards, and briefing documents for internal leadership and board-level discussions.
- Translate complex data and strategic insights into clear, compelling content tailored for senior stakeholders.
- Annual Planning
- Lead the annual global product strategy planning process for clinical-stage assets (Phases 1–3), including budget planning, tactical development, and alignment with asset strategy.
- Collaborate with functional leads and core markets to ensure prioritization and resource alignment.
- Portfolio & Launch Planning
- Lead quarterly portfolio reviews of clinical-stage assets, ensuring clear visibility of development progress, risks, and commercial readiness.
- Coordinate global launch planning activities in collaboration with US and international markets, ensuring cohesive strategies and operational readiness.
- Capture, synthesize, and disseminate learnings from US product and indication launches to inform strategies in other key markets.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or management consulting.
- Prior experience in global and US commercial launch planning is required.
- Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of oncology drug development and commercialization processes.
- Deep knowledge of the clinical development lifecycle and key decision points from Phase 1 to launch.
- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to develop high-impact presentations and reports for executive leadership.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Collaborative team player with a global mindset and experience working across geographies and cultures.
Preferences:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
- Prior experience in a top-tier management consulting firm is highly preferred.
Expected Pay Range: $200,000/year to $250,000/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). *Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
