Associate Director, Global Market Access - Oncology Antibodies and ADCs

As Associate Director - Global Value & Access – Antibodies & ADCs you will lead global market access strategies for our oncology assets across antibody and ADCs portfolio. In this role you will support our mission and serve as the global market access strategy indication lead in the appropriate matrix teams.

The position will be responsible for market access assessments, robust evidence generation, pricing & access strategies and informing policy strategies. You will be responsible for identifying all access relevant requirements for prioritized indications and products and developing and executing the according strategies. Ensuring awareness of the holistic value of our innovations across Antibodies & ADCs platforms and functions internally as well as with partners externally are key to this function. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop and lead BioNTech`s Antibodies & ADCs asset value & access strategies across prioritized tumors through registrational trials, and product launch planning for all relevant market access launch activities 
  • Shape and influence our oncology development strategies, including novel monotherapy and combination therapies. Provide key insights on access, pricing and policy to cross-functional teams including alliance teams, clinical development, and corporate strategy, ensuring a holistic patient-centric access approach from the outset. Review commercialization strategies and identify opportunities from an access, pricing and policy perspective
  • Work closely with members of the global value, access, pricing and policy team (GVAPP), with cross-functional core teams (commercial strategy, medical / HEOR, clinical development and regulatory) in the development of payer value propositions and resources that reflect the holistic value of our innovations and enable early evidence and stakeholder engagement planning
  • Conduct comprehensive market access landscape assessments, early scientific advisory meetings, and develop pricing and reimbursement strategies. Establish pricing modules to guide forecast and strategic decisions to help inform where to play and how to win in an ever-evolving market access environment for oncology indications 
  • Educate internal stakeholders, business leaders, and affiliates on existing or future access and reimbursement risks and opportunities for oncology assets in a dynamic healthcare system. Seek broad input and feedback to inform oncology portfolio strategies and priorities
  • Leverage knowledge of the external policy and decision-maker environment to optimize evidence development and identify and highlight differentiation for our oncology portfolio
  • Engage effectively with HTA agencies, advocacy organizations, think tanks, academics, and policy forums to build awareness of our Antibodies & ADCs portfolio and address potential challenges to healthcare systems in close partnership with the policy team

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in global market access and pricing within pharmaceutical/biotech companies or consultancy. Country-specific experience welcomed. Proven ability to develop and execute global market access, pricing, and product strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preferred post-graduate degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, (health) economics, biotechnology, epidemiology, or an MBA
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and negotiation skills, with a deep understanding of Health Technology Assessments (HTA) processes and requirements in key global markets
  • Deep experience in developing market access, pricing strategies, and integrated evidence generation plans, including product strategies and plans
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with proven experience collaborating with internal matrix and alliance teams, as well as research and clinical development teams
  • Deep knowledge of clinical development (preferably oncology) and of key global health care systems. Understanding of the payer mindset and regulatory and reimbursement requirements across a diverse set of payer archetypes
  • Proven track record in shaping clinical development and commercial plans by influencing adaptations based on access, pricing, and policy considerations
  • Experience working as global market access lead in a matrix environment and in cross-functional teams, experience in the US and / or EU4 & UK preferred
  • Fluent in English required, second language appreciated

 

Expected Pay Range: $180,000/year to $220,000/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance).  *Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
